In recent years in the Republic of Uzbekistan the strong legal basis in the field of achievement of the equal rights and opportunities for women and men, ensuring their equal participation in administration of society and the state, social and legal support of women is created.
The special strategy and programs aimed at providing equal participation of women and men in all spheres public политичекой country lives are also accepted. At the same time mechanisms of ensuring gender equality are enhanced.
This Law strengthens the legal basis of carrying out gender audit, will serve strengthening of providing guarantees of the equal rights and opportunities for women and men, and also carrying out public control in this sphere.
Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan of September 2, 2019 No. ZRU-562 "About guarantees of the equal rights and opportunities for women and men" (Sheets of chambers of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2019, No. 9, Art. 587; 2021, appendix to No. 4) following amendments and changes:
1) in Article 3:
add with the paragraph the sixth the following content:
"gender audit - studying and assessment of condition of observance of requirements of the legislation on guarantees of the equal rights and opportunities for women and men, and also integrated gender approach in activities of state bodies and organizations, including when carrying out personnel policy";
to consider paragraphs of the sixth and seventh respectively paragraphs the seventh and eighth;
add with the paragraph the ninth the following content:
"integrated gender approach - the organization by state bodies and the organizations of the activities, including carrying out personnel policy according to the legislation on guarantees of the equal rights and opportunities for women and men";
