This Law establishes the purposes, the principles and the directions of patriotic education in the Republic of Tajikistan, its legal and organizational basis, determines the relations connected with creation of legal, social, economic, organizational basis, providing and regulation of activities in the field of patriotic education of citizens.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
- The fatherland - Tajikistan, native for the person, social or national community of people the country, belonging to which they perceive as necessary condition of the wellbeing;
- patriotism - love for the country, to the people, aspiration the actions to serve their interests, to protect from enemies;
- the state support of subjects of patriotic education - set of the organizational measures of educational, information, financial and economic, legal and other nature taken and performed by state bodies of complex directed to creating favorable conditions for patriotic work;
- authorized state body in the field of patriotic education of citizens - the central executive body of the government of the Republic of Tajikistan realizing state policy in the field of patriotic education of citizens;
- system of patriotic education of citizens - set of subjects of patriotic education, normative and legal and spiritual and moral base of educational, educational and mass educational activities, and also complex of actions for forming of patriotic feelings and consciousness of citizens;
