This Law governs the public relations in the field of electronic trading and is directed to protection of legitimate rights and interests of participants of electronic trading, and also ensuring their activities.

Chapter 1. Basic provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) the electronic transaction - the actions of participants of electronic trading directed to the establishment, change or the termination of their rights and obligations which are performed by means of information and communication networks;

2) the participant of electronic trading - the seller, the buyer, the information intermediary and other intermediaries participating in the organization and implementation of electronic trading or rendering assistance to its accomplishment;

3) the sender of the electronic document - the person sending the electronic document or creating the accounting page in the database of the receiver of the document;

4) the receiver of the electronic document - person to whom the document was sent by the sender or the information intermediary;

5) the information intermediary - person who on initiative or at the request of other person sends receives and stores the electronic document, promotes rendering service for the conclusion of the transaction in electronic trading;

6) electronic payment system - the system of the organization of electronic financial calculations in information and communication networks allowing the parties of the transaction to manage independently the bank accounts or other electronic means of payment;

7) electronic procedures - procedure of electronic transaction operations;
