In commemoration of heroism, courage and firmness of the people of our Fatherland, feats of defenders of the Fatherland during military operations, in case of accomplishment of other fighting tasks or service duties on protection of the Fatherland this Federal Law establishes the status of the St.George's Ribbon.
2. The St.George's Ribbon represents tape from the alternating ravnoshiroky three black and two orange strips.
3. The St.George's Ribbon is one of symbols of military glory of Russia.

The St.George's Ribbon is used during by bodies of the public power of the festive events devoted to the Victory Day, other actions connected with events of the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945, the actions directed to perpetuating of memory of the Russian soldiers who caused a stir in the battles connected with days of military glory of Russia.
2. The St.George's Ribbon, including its image, can be used during by bodies of the public power of the actions devoted to memorials of Russia, the actions directed to patriotic, including military patriotic, and spiritual and moral education of citizens of the Russian Federation, and other actions.
3. Methods of use of the St.George's Ribbon, including its image, are determined by bodies of the public power independently proceeding from need of providing its status as symbol of military glory of Russia.
4. Use of the St.George's Ribbon, including its image, citizens, public associations, the companies, organizations and the organizations proceeding from need of providing its status as symbol of military glory of Russia is allowed.
Public defilement of the St.George's Ribbon involves responsibility in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
