LAW OF UKRAINE

About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning recognition by combatants and persons with disability owing to war, members of families of the died (died) Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine of separate categories of persons who were directly involved in implementation of the actions necessary for ensuring defense of Ukraine, protection of safety of the population and interests of the state in connection with military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and other questions

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to the following laws of Ukraine:

1. In the Law of Ukraine "About the status of veterans of war, guarantee of their social protection" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1993, No. 45, Art. 425 with subsequent changes):

Part one of Article 6 to add 1) with Item 25 of the following content:

"25) persons who from February 24 to March 25, 2022 according to the Law of Ukraine "About ensuring participation of civilians in protection of Ukraine" or as a part of voluntary forming in interaction with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine, National police, National guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine and other military forming and law enforcement agencies formed according to the law took part in implementation of the actions necessary for ensuring defense of Ukraine, protection of safety of the population and interests of the state in connection with military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, being directly in areas and during implementation of the specified actions.

Action of paragraph one of this Item does not extend to employees of the companies, organizations, organizations which were attracted and were directly involved in implementation of the actions necessary for ensuring defense of Ukraine, protection of safety of the population and interests of the state in connection with military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, being directly in areas and during implementation of the specified actions.
