About special ecological programs of rehabilitation of radiation contaminated sites of the territory

This Federal Law establishes features of state regulation of the relations in the field of development and implementation of special ecological programs of rehabilitation of radiation contaminated sites of the territory.
For the purposes of this Federal Law the following basic concepts are used:
the special ecological program of rehabilitation of radiation contaminated sites of the territory (further - the special ecological program) - the program of rehabilitation of radiation contaminated sites of the territory financed for acquisition account from the foreign trade transactions with the irradiated heat-generating assemblies of nuclear reactors;
radiation contaminated site of the territory - the site of the territory which is constituting health hazard of the population and for the environment, subject to rehabilitation after radioactive pollution as a result of technogenic activities or placement on this site of the territory of especially radiation dangerous objects out of service;
the heat-generating assembly of the nuclear reactor - the machine-building product containing nuclear materials and intended for receipt of heat energy in the nuclear reactor due to implementation of controlled nuclear reaction;
the irradiated heat-generating assemblies of the nuclear reactor - the heat-generating assemblies irradiated in the nuclear reactor, taken from it and content spent nuclear fuel;
temporary technological storage - temporary storage of the irradiated heat-generating assemblies of nuclear reactors in specially adapted storages for the purpose of increase in safety and cost reduction in case of the subsequent treatment of them.
