This Law determines legal and organizational basis of counteraction to extremism for the purpose of protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the personality, the constitutional system and territorial integrity of the Republic of Belarus, safety of society and the state.
Extremism (extremist activities) – activities of citizens of the Republic of Belarus, foreign citizens or stateless persons (further, unless otherwise specified, – citizens) or political parties, labor unions, other public associations, religious and other organizations, including the foreign or international organizations or their representations (further, unless otherwise specified, – the organizations), forming and individual entrepreneurs on planning, the organization, preparation and making of infringement of independence, territorial integrity, sovereignty, bases of the constitutional system, public safety in the way:
violent change of the constitutional system and (or) territorial integrity of the Republic of Belarus;
capture or deduction of the government in the unconstitutional way;
creations of extremist forming or participation in extremist forming;
assistance to implementation of extremist activities, training or other preparation for participation in such activities;
distribution for this purpose obviously false data on political, economic, social, warlike or world situation of the Republic of Belarus, legal status of the citizens in the Republic of Belarus discrediting the Republic of Belarus;
insults for this purpose the public agent in connection with execution of service duties by it, discredit of state governing bodies;
creations for this purpose illegal armed group;
implementation of terrorist activities;
