In recent years radical reforming of health care system in our country, conclusion of its development to new level became the priority direction of state policy. The three-stage national model of medicine including network of primary health care, emergency medical service and specialized health services is created, increase in efficiency, quality and availability of the medical services rendered to the population is provided.
At the same time recently cases of infringement of health workers from patients became frequent and their close relatives in the course of whom concerning health workers insubstantial accusations were brought in deterioration in health of patients or their death, and also cases of attack on doctors and average medical personnel without any reasons took place.
However in the existing Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan about the administrative responsibility direct responsibility for illegal impact in different forms on the health workers performing the office functions and also for hindrance of the legal medical activities of health workers connected with delivery of health care is not established.
With respect thereto the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan about the administrative responsibility is supplemented with the new Article establishing responsibility for hindrance of legal medical activities of the health worker.
Adoption of this Law will serve protection of the rights of health workers and prevention of different interventions in their professional activity, increase in the status and the authority of profession of the doctor, rendering timely and high-quality medical care to citizens.
