About measures for project implementation "Development of creation of chain of value added in fruit-and-vegetable growing industry (the 2nd stage)" with participation of the Japanese agency of international cooperation (JICA)

For the purpose of timely effective implementation of measures, aimed at the accelerated development of industry of fruit-and-vegetable growing, ensuring financial stability of agricultural enterprises, development of production of competitive fruit and vegetable products in the republic, and also further cooperation increase with the Japanese agency of international cooperation (JICA):

1. Take into consideration that:

a) On August 29, 2022 between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japanese agency of international cooperation (JICA) the Loan agreement on allocation of loan in the amount of 200, by one million US dollars on financing of the "Development of Creation of Chain of Value Added in Fruit-and-vegetable Growing Industry (the 2nd Stage)" project in the Republic of Uzbekistan is signed (further - the Project), including:

credit line in the amount of 194, 240 million US dollars for the term of 15 years, including five-year grace period, with interest rate of SOFR + annual interest rate 1,25;

consulting services in the amount of 5, 760 million US dollars for the term of 15 years, including five-year grace period, with interest rate of SOFR + 1,25 of annual interest rates;

b) the total cost of the Project constitutes 323, 019 million US dollars, from them:

loan of the Japanese agency of international cooperation (JICA) - 200 million US dollars;

contribution of the Republic of Uzbekistan to project implementation in the form of covering of the value added tax and provision of privileges on customs payments - 58, 272 million US dollars;

contribution of project participants (loanees - initiators of the Project) - 64, 747 million US dollars;

c) project deadline - 6 years (2023 - 2028).

2. Establish procedure according to which:

to the financial organizations which are taking part in the Project, the loans are granted in Uzbekistan sum;
