About the electronic document and the digital signature

This Law establishes legal and organizational basis, procedure for turnover and use of electronic documents, and also creations and applications of the digital signature in the course of forming and use of electronic documents.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) the electronic document - information which is provided electronically;

2) electronic form - set of technologies, allowing to create, receive and communicate by application of the digital signature;

3) information system - system which participants communicate electronically by use of digital signatures;

4) enterprise information system - information system in which participants of electronic interaction is certain group of people;

5) information system public - information system in which participants of electronic interaction is the uncertain group of people;

6) participants of information system (participants of electronic document management) - physical persons, individual entrepreneurs, legal entities, state bodies which apply digital signatures when implementing the rights and legitimate interests;

7) electronic document management - the creation, use, storage and exchange of electronic documents performed by means of information and communication technologies;

8) the simple digital signature - information giving the chance to determine the participant of electronic document management and its will in actions and transactions (agreements);

9) the strengthened digital signature - detail of the electronic document which is created by use of key of the strengthened digital signature and directed to protection of the electronic document against counterfeit;
