About introduction of amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Article 151 of the Code of penal procedure of the Russian Federation

Article 1

The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (The Russian Federation Code, 1996, No. 25, the Art. 2954) to add with Article 234.2 of the following content:

"Article 234.2. Illicit trafficking in methyl alcohol (methanol), metanolsoderzhashchy liquids

1. Illegal production, acquisition, storage, transportation or transfer for the purpose of sale, and equally in sale of methyl alcohol (methanol) or metanolsoderzhashchy liquids under the guise of alcoholic products -

are punished by penalty at the rate from hundred thousand to five hundred thousand rubles or in the amount of the salary or other income of the convict for the period from one to two years, or obligatory works for a period of up to four hundred eighty hours, or forced labor for a period of up to four years, or imprisonment for the same term.

2. Same acts, if they:

a) are made by group of persons by previous concert or organized group;

b) entailed on imprudence causing severe harm to health or the death of the person, -

are punished by forced labor for a period of up to five years or imprisonment for a period of up to six years with penalty at the rate to seven hundred thousand rubles or in the amount of the salary or other income of the convict for the period up to three years or without that.

3. The acts provided by part one or the second this Article, which entailed the death of two or more persons on imprudence -

are punished by imprisonment for a period of up to ten years with penalty at the rate to one million rubles or in the amount of the salary or other income of the convict for the period up to four years or without that and with restriction of freedom for a period of up to two years or without that.".
