The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

in view of aspiration to development and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of agro-industrial complex in the conditions of the economic reforms undertaken in the states based on the market relations,

considering historically developed commercial and scientific and technical ties between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Armenia,

being guided by the Agreement on interstate relations concerning agro-industrial complex signed by the Governments of the State Parties of the CIS on March 29, 1993

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will perform cooperation in the field of agricultural industry according to this agreement and legislations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Armenia.

Article 2

The parties will promote development and deepening of contacts between business entities of both states irrespective of their patterns of ownership and subordination.

The cooperation provided by this agreement will be performed in the following main directions:

1. crop production, including seed farming of crops;

2. livestock production, including breeding case;

3. the food and overworking industries, including upgrade of the companies for production and conversion of food products;

4. development of new forms of managing, the organization at formation of farms, associations and joint-stock companies;

5. consultations and assistance in implementation of reforms and privatization in the field of agro-industrial complex.

Other directions of cooperation can be included according to the mutual arrangement of the Parties.
