About some questions of application by courts of regulations of the procedural law in connection with enhancement of institute of review of judgments

Due to the enhancement of institute of review of judgments, and also for the purpose of ensuring the correct and uniform application by courts of regulations of the procedural law, based on article 17 of the Law "About Courts", the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan decides:

1. Draw the attention of courts that in the Code of penal procedure of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - the Code of Criminal Procedure), the Code of civil procedure of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - GPK), the Economic Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - EPK), the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan about administrative legal proceedings (further - KOAS) and the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan about the administrative responsibility (further - KOAO) make the changes and additions providing enhancement of institute of review of judgments.

Since January 13, 2021 the institute of appeal of judgments according to the procedure of supervision is abolished, the operating procedure for appeal of judgments in appeal and cassation procedure is cardinally changed, powers of courts of appeal and cassation instances are expanded, powers on hearing of cases about administrative offenses are transferred from administrative courts to the jurisdiction of criminal court judges.
