About national registers of identification numbers

This Law determines the purposes, tasks, the principles and the legal basis of creation and maintaining national registers of identification numbers on the basis of forming for the physical, legal entity (branch and representation) of identification number.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. The basic concepts used in this Law

1. In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) the control category - the digital symbol completing the sequence of the digital symbols constituting the individual identification number intended for control of correctness of its forming;

1-1) business and identification numbers - the unique number created for the legal entity (branch and representation) and the individual entrepreneur performing activities in the form of joint venture;

2) the National register of business and identification numbers - the state database intended for accounting and storage of information about the legal entities (branches and representations), individual entrepreneurs performing activities in the form of joint venture, forming and storage of data on the assigned business and identification numbers created and stopped activities in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) individual identification number - the unique number created for physical person;

4) the National register of individual identification numbers - the state database intended for forming, accounting, storage of information on individual identification numbers and the information about physical persons to which they are appropriated;

5) authorized state body (further - authorized body) - the state body performing forming of identification numbers and maintaining national registers of identification numbers;

6) identification number - the individual identification number or business and identification number expressed as the sequence of the digital symbols allowing to make records about data, relating to certain person in national registers of identification numbers;
