About introduction of amendments to the laws of Ukraine "About citizenship of Ukraine" and "About ensuring functioning of Ukrainian as state" concerning acceptance conditions in citizenship of Ukraine
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:
I. Make changes to the following laws of Ukraine:
1. In the Law of Ukraine "About citizenship of Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2001, No. 13, Art. 65 with the following changes):
Article 1 to add 1) with the paragraph the thirty fourth the following content:
"obligations about examination on bases of the Constitution of Ukraine, history of Ukraine and on level of proficiency in state language - in writing issued application of the foreigner/stateless person from among persons having outstanding merits in front of Ukraine which acceptance to citizenship of Ukraine is of state interest to Ukraine or which in the procedure established by the legislation of Ukraine pass military service under the contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to the Public special service of transport or National guard of Ukraine of persons who received type on temporary residence based on part of the twentieth article 4 of the Law of Ukraine "About legal status of foreigners and stateless persons" that in case of acquisition of citizenship of Ukraine he within two years will pass examinations in bases of the Constitution of Ukraine, history of Ukraine on level of proficiency in state language and will file documents on passing such examinations";
2) in Article 9:
in part two:
add with Item 1-1 of the following content:
"1-1) knowledge of bases of the Constitution of Ukraine, stories of Ukraine.
Examination on bases of the Constitution of Ukraine, history of Ukraine are performed according to the procedure, established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine";
add Item 2 with the paragraph the seventeenth the following content:
