About introduction of amendments to the Law on mail service No. 36/2016

This law shifts Regulations (EU) of the European Parliament and Council 2018/644 of April 18, 2018 about cross-border services of delivery of sending, published in the Official magazine of the European Union by L 112/19 of May 2, 2018.

Art. I. - In the Law on mail service No. 36/2016 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2016, Art. No. 114-122, 225), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. To add formula of harmonization with words "; Regulations (EU) of the European Parliament and Council 2018/644 of April 18, 2018 about cross-border services of delivery of sending, published in the Official magazine of the European Union by L 112/19 of May 2, 2018.".

2. In Article 2:

after the concept "prepayment" to add Article with the concept "service provider of delivery of postal parcels" of the following content:

"the service provider of delivery of postal parcels - the physical person or legal entity registered as the entrepreneur which renders one or several services of delivery of postal parcels except for suppliers who provide only national services of delivery of sending within the sales agreement, and as the party of the relevant agreement of the company carry out personal delivery to the user of the goods which are subject of the relevant agreement;";

after the concept "post network" to add Article with concept of "service of delivery of postal parcels" of the following content:

"services of delivery of postal parcels - the services including collection, sorting, transportation and mailing of postal parcels;";

after the concept "universal post service" to add Article with concept "subcontractor" of the following content:

"subcontractor - the physical person or legal entity registered as the entrepreneur providing collection, sorting, transportation or mailing of postal parcels for the service provider of delivery of postal parcels;".

3. Part (Article 4 to add 2) with the Items g-1) and j-1) of the following content:
