About ensuring unity of measurements

This Law determines legal, organizational and economic basis of activities in the field of ensuring unity of measurements for the purpose of requirements satisfaction of citizens and national economy in real, reliable and comparable results of measurements, public health cares, the environment, ensuring defense capability and safety of the country.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
1) calibration of measuring instruments - set of the transactions which are carried out for the purpose of establishment of metrological characteristics of measuring instruments by determination of ratio between the value of size received by means of measuring instrument and the value of size reproduced by standard;
2) metrological certification of measuring instruments - recognition by the public metrological service lawful for use of measuring instruments of single-piece production (or imported on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan by single copies) based on careful researches of their properties;
3) certification of means of testing - determination of compliance of the normalized metrological and technical characteristics of means of testing to requirements of regulating documents for ensuring unity of measurements;
4) metrological certification of techniques of accomplishment of measurements - research for the purpose of assessment and confirmation of conformity of technique of accomplishment of measurements to the metrological requirements imposed to it;
5) measuring instruments - the technical means intended for measurements and having the established metrological characteristics;
