About modification of some legal acts of Ukraine concerning features of use of maternity leave

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to such legal acts of Ukraine:

1. Article 179 of the Labor code of Ukraine (1971, appendix to No. 50, by the station 375) after part two to add sheets of the Supreme Council of USSR with new part of the following content:

"At the request of the woman and in case of lack of medical contraindications the part of leave lasting 70 calendar days provided before childbirth can be postponed and used by the woman in parts or in full after the delivery, since day of childbirth. At the same time the general leave duration cannot totally exceed 126 calendar days (140 calendar days - in case of the birth of two and more children and in case of complication of childbirth)".

With respect thereto speak rapidly third - to consider the ninth respectively parts four - the tenth.

2. Paragraph one of Item 10 parts one of article 30 of the Law of Ukraine "About the status and social protection of the citizens who were injured owing to the Chernobyl catastrophic crash" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1992, No. 13, Art. 178; 1996, No. 35, Art. 162; 2003, No. 10-11, of Art. 87; 2008, 78) to state Art. No. No. 5-8, in the following edition:

"10) provision to the women who were injured owing to the Chernobyl catastrophic crash, maternity leave lasting 90 calendar days before childbirth and 90 calendar days after the delivery which is estimated totally and is provided to women completely irrespective of the number of the days which are actually used before childbirth with payment in the amount of complete earnings irrespective of insurance years of service and place of employment. At the request of the woman and in case of lack of medical contraindications the part of leave lasting 90 calendar days provided before childbirth can be postponed and used by the woman in parts or in full after the delivery, since day of childbirth".
