About state regulation in the field of genetically engineered activities

This Federal Law governs the relations in the field of environmental management, environmental protections, providing ecological safety and health protection of the person arising when implementing genetically engineered activities. The procedure of genetically engineered activities and application of its methods to the person, fabrics and cages as a part of its organism is not subject of regulation of this Federal Law.
The basic concepts applied in this Federal Law:
genetic data - the data on genetic information of different biological objects provided in the form suitable for obtaining (collection), systematization, accumulating, storage, refining (updating, change), uses, distribution (including transfers) and destructions of such information;
genetic information - the sequence of nucleotides in polymers of nucleic acids;
genetic engineering - set of methods and technologies, including technologies of receipt of recombinant ribonucleic and deoxyribonucleic acid, on allocation of genes from organism, to implementation of manipulations with genes and to their introduction in other organisms;
the paragraph the fifth ceased to be valid according to the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of 29.12.2022 No. 643-FZ
genetically engineered activities - the activities performed with use of methods of genetic engineering for the purpose of creation of the gene engineering modified organisms;
the paragraph of the seventh ceased to be valid according to the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of 29.12.2022 No. 643-FZ
