About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning protection of the person against impact of ionizing radiation
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:
I. Make changes to the following laws of Ukraine:
1. In the Law of Ukraine "About use of nuclear energy and radiation safety" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1995, No. 12, Art. 81 with the following changes):
To replace 1) in Article 82 of the word "it can be imposed" with the word "are imposed";
2) in the text of the law of the word "dose limits" in all cases shall be replaced with words "limits of doses" in the corresponding case.
2. In the Law of Ukraine "About protection of the person against impact of ionizing radiation" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1998, No. 22, Art. 115 with the following changes):
Shall be replaced with words 1) in preamble of the word "in cases of radiation accidents" "in situations of the existing and emergency radiation";
2) in Article 1:
to state determination of the term "main dose limit of radiation" in the following edition:
"limit of dose of radiation size of effective and/or equivalent dose of radiation of the person in year, established by this Law and regulations of radiation safety which shall not be exceeded for the individual";
in determination of the term "practical activities" of the word "which is considered" shall be replaced with words "which manage as";
add taking into account alphabetic procedure with terms of the following content:
"the emergency situation - any unexpected (unplanned) event which led to violation of conditions of safe operation of nuclear installation, the object intended for the treatment of radioactive waste, source of ionizing radiation which did not lead to accident, but requires taking measures for prevention or minimization of harmful effects of radiation and providing the normal mode of operation of installation, object or source".;
