About introduction of amendments to the Law on the state system of social insurance No. 489/1999

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law on the state system of social insurance No. 489/1999 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2000, Art. No. 1-4, 2), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. In the subitem d) Item 3) Article 4 of the word "occupied with free labor activity;" shall be replaced with words "performing independent activities;".

2. In Article 5:

in Item b) parts (1) word "the physical persons performing independent activities in the field of retail trade, except for trade in excise goods", to exclude;

add Article with part (7) the following content:

"(7) the National cash desk records the physical persons performing independent activities as payers of budget payments of the national social insurance and as the insured faces in the state system of social insurance based on information provided by the State Tax Administration, according to the procedure and form established together with National cash desk.".

3. Part (Article 17 to add 1) with Item g) the following content:

"g) the physical persons performing independent activities.".

4. Add Article 20 with part (1-1) following contents:

"(1-1) Calculation of fees of the national social insurance is made by monthly National cash desk to the 25th following for reporting for persons performing independent activities.".

Art. II. - Declaring of fees of the national social insurance by the physical persons performing independent activities in 2023 for the period of activities from January 1 to June 30, 2023 is made no later than July 25, 2023.

Art. III. - This law becomes effective from the date of publication in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova.
