About protection of plants

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of protection of plants.
The legislation on protection of plants consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about protection of plants then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
biological remedies - the useful organisms or products of their life activity applied to fight against harmful organisms of plants and vegetable products;
harmful organisms - the any kind, race or biotype of plants, animal or pathogenic agents capable to harm plants or vegetable products;
means of chemicalixation - the chemical means used for acceleration of development, maturing, increase in productivity and quality of plants, and also improvement of fertility of soils;
mineral fertilizers - the made or extracted fertilizers containing nutrients in mineral form;
pesticides - the substances applied to fight against harmful organisms;
phytosanitary actions - complex of the actions directed to decrease in the size of the economic damage caused by harmful organisms;
protection of plants - complex of the actions directed to fight against harmful organisms;
remedies of plants - the chemical means used for protection of plants and biological remedies.
The basic principles in the field of protection of plants are:
legality;
priority of safety of health of the person and environment;
