About introduction of amendments to the Law on libraries No. 160/2017

The parliament adopts this ordinary law.

Art. I. - In the Law on libraries No. 160/2017 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2017, Art. No. 301-315, 529), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. In all text of the law of the word "territorial public library" shall be replaced with words "the public library" in the corresponding number and case.

2. In Article 3:

"library" to add concept with words ", and also forming and sustainable development of the viable, informed, inclusive and democratic society;";

state the concept "bibliotekovedchesky center" of the following edition:

"the bibliotekovedchesky center - the library in library network equipped with functions of methodological activities concerning libraries of the relevant network;";

exclude the concept "national bibliographic accounting";

state the concept "document of library" of the following edition:

"the document of library - material object which can be considered as unit in the course of documentation with fixed on paper, in digital form or on any other carrier information, registered and being in library stock or available far off: books, periodicals, printing musical editions, manuscripts, audiovisual documents, electronic documents, graphical documents, patents, etc.;".
