About additional measures for ensuring compliance with traffic regulations

For the purpose of ensuring unconditional observance of traffic regulations in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and inevitability of responsibility for such types of offenses, and also further strengthening of control of strict observance of the traffic regulations DECIDES: Cabinet of Ministers

1. Implement the mechanism of collection by customs authorities of the corresponding penalties from drivers of the foreign vehicles or other persons who violated traffic regulations in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan when exporting these vehicles from the republic territory, based on the information provided by law-enforcement bodies in the online mode.

Determine that the rules provided by this Item are not applied in the relation:

vehicles of the diplomatic representations and consular establishments of the foreign states, and also the organizations equated to them accredited in the Republic of Uzbekistan;

vehicles of the foreign official delegations which temporarily drove or following en route through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2. Grant to the State Customs Committee the right to collection of unpaid penalties for road traffic offense in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan when exporting vehicles from the republic territory, and in case of failure to pay penalty - the right to acceptance to temporary storage of vehicles together with territorial authorities of internal affairs according to the procedure, the stipulated in Clause 291 Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan about the administrative responsibility, before complete collection of the amount of penalty.
