Now rapid development of satellite communication in the world, implementation of new technologies in this sphere creates new technological capabilities on improvement of conditions for expansion of covering by the Internet and modern high-quality communication in the territory of the republic.
However lack of sufficient conditions for development of networks of satellite communication in our country as one of kinds of the international networks of telecommunications, the high amount of the state tax for occupation such type of activity, interfere with use of this means of communication in local networks, and also to further expansion of scope the Internet and communication in mountain and hardly accessible regions.
This Law makes changes to the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About the state fee" and "About licensing, allowing and notifying procedures", providing amendment of the existing subspecies of licensed activity concerning mobile radiotelephone (radiotelephone, trunk) bonds, by such type of activity as designing, construction, operation and rendering services of networks of satellite communication in the territory of the republic, and also refining of the name of republican executive body.
This Law will serve providing scope of the territory of the republic with the high-speed Internet and high-quality communication, development of networks of satellite communication, and also further expansion of opportunities in the field of telecommunications.
