About measures for project implementation "Complex development of the average cities" with participation of International Development Association and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

For the purpose of consecutive continuation of measures for complex development of infrastructure of the cities and to increase in management efficiency of them, expansions of opportunities of use of the population of the average cities of services, and also further increase in economic and tourist capacity of the cities:

1. Take into consideration that:

a) the "Complex Development of the Average Cities" project (further - the Project) with participation of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development at the first stage is implemented in the pilot cities of Yangiyule, Kagane and Chartake;

b) for additional financing of the Project:

The board of directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank approves on June 10, 2021 provision to the Republic of Uzbekistan of loan in the amount of 100 million US dollars and the Board of directors of the World Bank on June 11, 2021 - loan of International Development Association in the amount of 100 million US dollars;

On September 30, 2022 between the Republic of Uzbekistan and International Development Association and on October 14, 2022 between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank loan agreements on the amount of 100 million US dollars on everyone for the term of 30 years, including 5-year grace period are signed;

the contribution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the form of compensation of tax and customs payments, coverings of financial expenses, and also expenses on resettlement constitutes in the amount equivalent 43, 2 million US dollars;

c) the funds raised for additional financing of the Project go to the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions within 5 years (2023 - 2027);

d) as a result of the initial studying which are carried out by khokimiyats of the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions and the Ministry of Economics and finance the possibility of expense optimization is revealed (to 60 million US dollars).
