This Federal Law establishes the legal basis of state regulation of ensuring fertility of lands of agricultural purpose.
In this Federal Law the following basic concepts are used:
fertility of lands of agricultural purpose - capability of the soil to satisfy the need of agricultural cultural plants for nutrients, air, water, heat, biological and physical and chemical environment and to provide harvest of agricultural cultural plants;
the state regulation of fertility of lands of agricultural purpose - development and approval of regulations and rules of ensuring fertility of lands agricultural purpose;
reproduction of fertility of lands of agricultural purpose - preserving and increase in fertility of lands in agricultural purpose by means of holding meliorative and other actions;
degradation of lands of agricultural purpose - deterioration in properties of lands in agricultural purpose as a result of natural and anthropogenous impacts;
