About employment of the population
In the conditions of market economy and equality of different patterns of ownership this Law determines legal, economic and organizational basis of employment of the population of Ukraine and its protection against unemployment, and also social guarantees from the state in realization by citizens of right to work.
1. Employment is the activities of citizens connected with satisfaction personal and public needs and, as a rule, bringing in them the income in cash or other form.
Employment of the population living in the territory of Ukraine is provided with the state by means of carrying out the active social and economic policy directed to satisfaction of his needs for the voluntary choice of type of activity, stimulation of creation of new workplaces and development of entrepreneurship.
2. Citizens freely choose the types of activity which are not prohibited by the legislation including not connected with accomplishment of paid work, and also profession, place of employment according to the capabilities.
Coercion in any form is not allowed to work, except as specified, stipulated by the legislation Ukraine. Voluntary not employment of citizens is not the basis for attraction them to administrative or criminal liability.
3. In Ukraine the citizens living in the territory of the state on legal causes treat occupied population:
a) working on hiring on the terms of complete or part-time (week) at the companies, in organizations and the organizations, irrespective of patterns of ownership, in the international and foreign organizations in Ukraine and abroad at physical persons;
