RESOLUTION OF THE CABINET OF MINISTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

About provision of the educational credits for training in higher educational institutions at paid and contractual basis

For the purpose of realization of the tasks determined by the National program for training the Cabinet of Ministers decides creations for youth of ampler opportunities for study, strengthening of social protection of the citizens who are getting higher education:

1. Accept the offer of the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, commercial banks on introduction in practice, since 2001/2002 academic years, provision of the educational credits by commercial banks for payment of training in higher educational institutions of the republic at paid and contractual basis.

Determine that the educational loans are granted to the citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan accepted for training in the highest educational institutions at paid and contractual basis, to their parents or custodians.

2. Approve Regulations on provision of the educational credits for training at paid and contractual basis in higher educational institutions according to appendix.

3. Approve the offer of commercial banks, the Ministries of the higher and secondary vocational education, the Ministry of Labour and social are sewn up the populations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and educational institutions of the higher school about provision of soft credits:

the non-interest educational loans - for orphans, pupils of houses nursing homes of Mekhribonlik and disabled people since the childhood of I and II groups;

for students from needy families - with payment of 50 percent from the added amount of interest payments for the credit from means of the State fund of assistance of employment in accordance with the established procedure.
