About modification and amendments in the Law "About Public Service"

Article 1. In article 31 of the Law of March 23, 2018 No. ZR-206 "About public service:

1) to state part 1 in the following edition:

"1. Persons holding the state position and public employees cannot hold the position which is not caused by their status in state bodies or other local government bodies, any position in the commercial organizations, to be engaged in business activity, to perform other paid work, except scientific, educational and creative.".

To add 2) with part 19 of the following content:

"19. The requirements of incompatibility established by this Article do not extend to members of local government board concerning whom restrictions are established by the laws "About Local Self-government" and "About Local Self-government in the City of Yerevan".".

Article 2. Final part and transitional provision

1. This law becomes effective next day after its official publication.

2. Operation of this law does not extend to persons who to the introduction of this law in force combined the state position or position of public service with position of the member of local government board. These persons can continue joint operation about day of convocation of the first meeting of the given newly elected Council of Elders.
