About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tajikistan"

Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tajikistan" of March 20, 2008 (Akhbori of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, 2008, No. 3, Art. 191; 2011, No. 6 of Art. 453; 2012, No. 4, Art. 261; 2014, No. 7, h 1, Art. 398; 2016, No. 3, Art. 134; 2017, No. 5, h 1, Art. 281) following changes and amendments:

1. Regarding 1 Article 11:

- add with Item in) the following content:

"c) to ensuring equality and liquidation of all forms of discrimination;";

- consider Items in), d), e), e) and ё) respectively Items of), e), e), ё) and g).

2. Add article 12 with part 6 of the following content:

"6. The Commissioner for Human Rights in connection with ensuring equality and liquidation of all forms of discrimination performs other powers, stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Tajikistan.".

3. In Article 17:

- in the name of Article the word "claims" shall be replaced with words "statements and claims";

- state part 1 in the following edition:

"1. The Commissioner for Human Rights does not consider the application and the claim on disputes between physical persons (applicants), except for disputes on discrimination cases.".

4. Add with article 17 (1) the following content:

"Article 17 (1). Activities for mediation

The Commissioner for Human Rights for the purpose of ensuring equality and liquidation of all forms of discrimination performs activities for mediation for disputes on discrimination according to the procedure, established by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.".
