About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About mail service" concerning action of international treaties and procedure for use of weapon by personnel of operators of mail service

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About mail service" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2023, No. 29, the Art. 105) such changes:

1. The second articles 2 after words "the international treaty of Ukraine" to add part with the words "become effective in accordance with the established procedure".

2. In part three of Article 4 of the word "which consent to be bound is provided by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine" shall be replaced with words "become effective in accordance with the established procedure".

3. In Article 19:

The fifth and sixth to state 1) to part in the following edition:

"Employees of division of post safety of the appointed operator of mail service for the purpose of protection of money have the right to use firearms according to the procedure, provided by this Law.

The employee of division of post safety of the appointed operator of mail service is authorized on carrying firearms, and also on its application and use only provided that he conforms to requirements for ownership of the firearms established by the legislation of Ukraine and had the corresponding special training";

To add 2) with parts of the seventh or nineteenth of the following content:

"The employee of division of post safety of the appointed operator of mail service is authorized to use firearms in such exceptional cases:

1) for reflection of attack on personnel of the operator of mail service in case of threat of their life or to health;

2) for reflection of group or armed attack on objects of mail service for the purpose of ensuring safety of money.

The employee of division of post safety of the appointed operator of mail service is authorized to use firearms only after the warning of need of the termination of illegal actions and intention of use of weapon.
