About the international territorial cooperation of Ukraine

This Law determines legal, economic and organizational basis of the international territorial cooperation of Ukraine with foreign states that it is directed to adjustment of the international territorial cooperation between the states, regions and the territories for the purpose of balance of social and economic development, providing state interests and safety by maintenance of mutually beneficial cooperation with members of the international community on the basis of the conventional principles and rules of international law taking into account historical, economic, ecological, geographical and demographic features of regions and the territories.

Section I. General provisions

Article 1. Determination of terms

1. In this Law terms are used in the following value:

1) the state support of the international territorial cooperation set of decisions and actions of the public authorities of Ukraine of organizational, legal, financial nature directed to projects implementation (programs) of the international territorial cooperation;

2) the state program of development of the international territorial cooperation complex of actions of the public authorities of Ukraine aimed at the development of the international territorial cooperation;

3) the European consolidation of territorial cooperation form of the international territorial cooperation, performed by consolidation of subjects of the international territorial cooperation of Ukraine and appropriate subjects of member states of the European Union and other states;

4) the euroregion form of cross-border cooperation, performed according to bilateral or multilateral agreements for assistance to cross-border cooperation;
