About protection of the population against tuberculosis
This Law establishes bases of state policy on fight against tuberculosis in the Republic of Tajikistan, determines organizational and legal order of regulation of actions for protection of the population against tuberculosis, and also regulates the rights, obligations and social guarantees of the population in case of disease of tuberculosis.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
tuberculosis - infectious disease which causative agents are tuberculosis microbacteria which extend in generally airborne way;
- active form of tuberculosis - form of tuberculosis which signs of activity are established as a result of carrying out clinical, laboratory, radiological and other trials;
- infectious form of tuberculosis - the disease form dangerous to people around in connection with allocation to the external environment of microbacteria of tuberculosis;
- antituberculous care - set of the social, medical, sanitary and hygienic and anti-epidemic actions directed to identification, inspection and treatment, including obligatory inspection and treatment, dispensary observation and rehabilitation of the TB patients who are carried out in the hospital and (or) on an outpatient basis according to the procedure established by this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan;
- the risk group - persons, the most subject to risk to get sick with tuberculosis, including: contact with TB patients, the labor migrants, HIV - infected the women who are not observing intervals between childbirth, the children who did not receive vaccination of BTsZh, the prisoners sick with diabetes and chronic diseases of lungs;
- prevention of tuberculosis - set of the actions directed to the prevention of spread of tuberculosis and its early identification;
