About establishment of allowances to official pay rates to persons having academic degree and assignment for increase in the minimum size of award to creative specialists of the Republic of Tajikistan

For the purpose of material stimulation of persons having academic degree the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan decides;

1. Establish since July 1, 1999 in all industries of the national economy of the Republic of Tajikistan the allowance for academic degree to persons who defended the corresponding dissertations during the period till 1992 in the amount of 30 percent of official pay rate on the place of the main work under working condition on the corresponding specialty, except academicians of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Academy of agricultural sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan and corresponding members of these Academies.

To persons who defended dissertations about assignment of academic degree in 1992 and the next years, the specified allowance is established after certification passing, since January 1, 2000.

2. To the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan to perform payment of allowances to persons specified in Item 1 of this resolution in the second half of the year 1999 at the expense of means of reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

3. To the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan for establishment of allowances for academic degree to candidates and doctors of science and increases in the minimum size of award to writers, authors of textbooks for comprehensive schools, Average special and Higher educational institutions, to journalists and workers of regional, city and district newspapers, and also creators of pieces of music, sculptures, artists and other creative specialists to provide in the draft of the Government budget for 2000 allocation of necessary means.
