In recent years in our country large-scale reforms in the field of reliable legal protection and protection of intellectual property for the purpose of enhancement of mechanisms of implementation of results of intellectual activities in industry of economy, improvement of business activity and business environment, increase in product competitiveness of local producers and ensuring its realization with value added are undertaken.
At the same time there is need of ensuring the security of property created as a result of intellectual activities of physical persons and legal entities, forming in the society of the intolerance relation to offenses and strengthening in the legislation of the legal mechanisms providing interest of citizens in protection of the rights.
Besides, ensuring protection of intellectual property with efficient legal mechanisms generates need of consecutive continuation of policy of enhancement of the legislation for prevention of violations in this sphere.
This Law for the purpose of enhancement of the civil relations makes additions and changes to some legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan providing introduction of payment procedure by the violator upon the demand of the owner of compensation instead of indemnification, for illegal use of intellectual property items.
This Law will serve enhancement of system of protection of intellectual property rights of physical persons and legal entities, improvement of quality of prevention of offenses in this sphere, and also to reducing quantity of offenses and strengthening of protection of intellectual property and forming of system of efficient mechanisms of protection of the rights to creative activities in the digital circle.
