In our country for the purpose of settlement of the relations connected with traffic in weapons and ammunition to it the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About weapon" is adopted, and also system measures for enhancement of the mechanism for the prevention of arms trafficking are performed.

At the same time the rule about discharge of persons which voluntarily handed over the firearms which are in their adverse possession enshrined in the Criminal code of the Republic of Uzbekistan does not solve problem of discharge of persons in case of voluntary surrender of other types of weapon by them.

For the purpose of elimination of noted legal gap there is need of fixing for the legislation of the regulation providing discharge of persons which voluntarily handed over not fire types of weapon, such as pneumatic, alarm, cold bladed, throwing weapon and weapon of self-defense.

This Law to article 220-1 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan about the administrative responsibility makes the addition providing possibility of release of person from the administrative responsibility, in case of voluntary surrender who is in its adverse possession of pneumatic, alarm, cold bladed, throwing weapon and weapon of self-defense.

This Law will serve ensuring more reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, and also further increase in efficiency of the taken measures for protection of public order and the prevention of cases of illicit trafficking in not fire types of weapon.
