In recent years in our country the strong legal basis in the field of prevention of the crimes committed with use of information technologies, ensuring reliable protection of interests of the personality, society and the state from external and internal threats in cyberspace is created.
Due to the development of information and communication technologies there is need of increase in level of measures for ensuring information security and cyber security for activities of credit institutions and non-bank credit institutions.
This Law makes changes and additions to the legal acts regulating activities of the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the relation in the field of ensuring information security and cyber security in activities of banks, non-bank credit institutions, operators of payment systems, the electronic government and also in the field of information security in the automated bank system and bank secrecy.
This Law will serve strengthening of information security and ensuring cyber security in activities of credit institutions and non-bank credit institutions and system of the electronic government, and also to prevention of the offenses made by means of information and communication technologies.
