About first-priority measures for fight against dust storms and improvement of quality of atmospheric air
For the purpose of the organization of system work on cardinal improvement of ecological country situation, fight against dust storms, reduction of risk of emergence of dust storms and mitigation of their negative effects by protection and recovery of the environment, creation of protective afforestations, and also development and deployment in practice of system of the early notification of the population about dust storms:
1. Approve the National program for fight against dust storms and mitigation of their negative effects in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2024 - 2030 (further - the National program) according to appendix No. 1*.
2. Determine the main directions of the National program:
enhancement of system of forecasting and monitoring of dust storms, and also adjustment of system of the early notification of the population about them in 2025 - 2028;
implementation of advanced technologies in case of the prevention and mitigation pulverulent and sandstorms, expansion of green coverings in regions;
elimination of distribution in air of pulverulent and sandy particles on building sites;
carrying out inventory count, geobotanical inspection and creation of geobotanical cards of 30 percent of the existing pastures till 2026, 60 percent - till 2028 and in full - till 2030;
strengthening international cooperation in the field of fight against dust storms;
achievement of reducing till 2028 rates of emergence of strong dust storms for 50 percent in relation to present condition;
strengthening of the ecological education directed to fight against dust storms.
3. Determine what for the purpose of step-by-step implementation of the National Cabinet of Ministers of Times program in two years till December 1 approves "road maps" on subsequent period.
