About introduction of amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova

We, the people of the Republic of Moldova, directly performing the national sovereignty and the participation right in administration of state affairs based on Articles 2, 39 and 75 Constitutions of the Republic of Moldova,

we adopt this constitutional law.

Art. I. – In the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2016, No. 78, of the Art. 140), with subsequent changes to make the following changes:

1. Add preamble with the following paragraphs:

"CONFIRMING the European identity of the people of the Republic of Moldova and irreversibility of the European way of the Republic of Moldova;

PROCLAIMING integration into the European Union strategic objective of the Republic of Moldova,".

2. Add the Constitution with the Section V-1 of the following content:

"Section V-1

INTEGRATION INTO EUROPEAN UNION

Article 140-1

Accession to foundation agreements

and to the acts changing foundation agreements of the European Union

(1) Accession of the Republic of Moldova to the foundation agreements of the European Union and acts changing foundation agreements of the European Union is established by Parliament the organic law.

(2) Owing to accession of provision of foundation agreements of the European Union, and also other obligatory legal acts of the European Union have priority before the provisions of the domestic legislation contradicting them taking into account observance of provisions of the act of accession.".

Art. II. – This law becomes effective from the date of publication in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova of the resolution of the Constitutional court on confirmation of results of republican referendum.
