About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About complete general secondary education" concerning State Final Examination and state standards
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:
I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About complete general secondary education" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2020, No. 31, the Art. 226) such changes:
1. To state paragraph two of part five of Article 17 in the following edition:
"Each pupil shall study State Final Examination for each level of complete general secondary education on state language, mathematics, and after receipt of basic and profile secondary education - also in history of Ukraine and foreign language (except language of the state recognized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the state aggressor or the state invader), except the cases determined by the legislation. The list of foreign languages and other objects in which there can be State Final Examination at the certain level of complete general secondary education is determined by the central executive body in the field of science and education".
2. The fifth to state the paragraph to part one of Article 44 in the following edition:
"State standards shall provide free ownership of state language, necessary level of mathematical competence, knowledge of history of Ukraine, foreign language skills (except language of the state recognized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the state aggressor or the state invader) all pupils of educational institutions which complete receipt of complete general secondary education. Ukrainian Ukrainian as State for persons belonging to ethnic minorities or indigenous people of Ukraine which native language does not belong to one with Ukrainian of language group".
II. Final provisions
1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day, and becomes effective since January 1, 2024.
2. Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine:
in three-months time from the date of entry into force of this Law to bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;
