About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About judicial system and the status of judges" concerning features of passing qualification examination

1. Introduce in the Law of Ukraine "About judicial system and the status of judges" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2016, No. 31, Art. 545 with the following changes) the following changes:

Article 74 to state 1) in the following edition:

"Article 74. Passing qualification examination

1. The qualification examination is certification of professional competence of the candidate for judgeship for the purpose of identification of proper knowledge, level of training and capability to perform justice in the relevant court.

2. The basis for the admission to passing qualification examination is the decision of the Highest qualification commission of judges of Ukraine.

3. The qualification examination is held by delivery of anonymous testings and practical tasks.

Anonymous testing is held rather cognitive capabilities, history of the Ukrainian statehood, general knowledge in the field of the right and one or several specializations of court at choice: administrative, economic and general (civil and criminal).

Practical tasks are carried out concerning chosen (chosen) as the candidate of specialization (specializations) of court.

Form and content of testings, practical tasks, and also procedure for their carrying out affirm the Highest qualification commission of judges of Ukraine.

4. The highest qualification commission of judges of Ukraine not later than 30 days about day of holding qualification examination will promulgate its program and the list of questions of testing (except testing on cognitive capabilities) on the official website.

5. The candidate for judgeship is considered passed qualification examination in the chosen specialization of court if it:

1) gained at least 75 percent of the greatest possible point for testing on stories of the Ukrainian statehood, general knowledge in the field of the right and the corresponding specialization of court;
