Declaration of state members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on further enhancement and increase in efficiency of organization activity

We, Chapters of state members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization,

confirming the determination to consistently realize provisions of the Agreement on collective security of May 15, 1992, Articles of organization of the Agreement on collective security and the fundamental documents and decisions which determined the key directions of forming of system of collective security of state members of the CSTO accepted in their development

considering intention to interact closely for the purpose of strengthening of the international law and order and the modes in the field of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction,

noting the positive shifts which happened from the moment of CSTO organization in interaction of state members of the CSTO in the field of foreign and defense policy, in counteraction to modern challenges and threats,

recognizing need of acceptance of additional measures for adaptation of the CSTO to the changing political realities and the modern requirements imposed to multipurpose international structure of safety

we declare:

state members of the CSTO activate efforts on all-round development and enhancement of integration mechanisms within the Organization for the purpose of counteraction to the accruing challenges and threats at the regional and global levels, confirm need of close interaction for the purpose of effective protection of the national and collective interests.

We consider important to confirm earlier accepted principles and to formulate new approaches to comprehensive strengthening of system of collective security:

- solidarity of purpose and tasks in forming of system of collective security in zone of responsibility of the CSTO;

- coordination of actions, not causing damage to interests of collective security;

- priority of allied obligations of state members of the CSTO, respect of sovereignty, territorial integrity and authority of each of them;

- mutual respect and accounting of national interests and line items of state members of the CSTO in the field of foreign policy and safety;
