About single state system of registration and accounting of offenses

This Law determines organization-legal bases, the principles and rules of maintaining single state system of registration and the crime reporting and administrative offenses (further - offenses), and also powers and tasks of state bodies in this sphere.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) registration of offenses – the criminal prosecution authorities, courts and other authorized state bodies (officials) considering cases on administrative offenses and crimes, assigning to violations registration numbers and fixing information on violations;

2) accounting of offenses – entering by law-enforcement bodies into the single state database about offenses of data on the offenses registered by criminal prosecution authorities, courts and other authorized state bodies (officials) considering cases on administrative offenses and crimes;

3) the single state database about offenses – information and technical system, the including complex of data on offenses;

4) single state system of registration and accounting of offenses – order of registration of offenses criminal prosecution authorities, courts and other authorized state bodies (officials) considering cases on administrative offenses, and also accounting treatment for offenses and submission of data on offenses to authorized state body in the field of ensuring functioning of single state system of registration and accounting of offenses;
