being guided by interests of further strengthening of mutual understanding of neighborliness and expansion of professional contacts;

proceeding from need of increase in efficiency of interaction law-enforcement and special, bodies of border regions;

agreed as follows:

Article 1

In this agreement are understood as law enforcement and special bodies of border regions:

a) in the Republic of Tajikistan - law enforcement and special bodies of the regions adjoining on the adjacent state.

b) in the Kyrgyz Republic - law enforcement and special bodies of the regions adjoining on the adjacent state

Article 2

Law enforcement and special bodies of border regions on the basis of provisions of this agreement directly will cooperate with each other, being effective within the competence, with compliance with law and international treaties of the states including regulating questions of issue and rendering legal assistance on criminal cases.

Article 3

Law enforcement and special bodies of border regions will mutually exchange operational search, criminalistic and other information, in particular, the following data:

- about the administrative and criminal offenses made by the citizens of the state of one Party who are constantly living in the territory of the border area of this state (in time no later than three days if the facts of the case do not cause the necessity of the immediate notice);

- about persons who are wanted, including missing persons if reasons to believe are had that they are or can be in the territory of the border region of the adjacent state (immediately);
