The government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

considering the agreements signed within the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of military and technical cooperation

considering it expedient to keep the developed cooperation bonds on development, production and mutual deliveries of arms, military equipment, military and technical property, their components and spare parts for the benefit of defense and safety of the countries,

recognizing importance of development of mutually advantageous bilateral ties on permanent basis in military and technical area,

aiming at cooperation increase on the basis of mutual advantage and economic feasibility,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties perform cooperation in the following areas:

1. Production, delivery, upgrade, servicing and repair of military equipment and arms, including for:

- aircraft;

- air defense;

- land forces;

- automated control systems for troops, weapon, investigation and radio-electronic fight, systems and complexes of data transmission, means of communication and optical means.

2. Research and development works for the benefit of defense and safety of both countries.

3. Reconstruction, upgrade and inversion the company, making military products.

For implementation of this agreement are authorized:

from the Tajik Side - the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Tajikistan and Committee on defense industry under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan;

from the Belarusian Side - the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus and the Industry ministry of the Republic of Belarus.

Article 3

Purchases of arms, military equipment, appliances and provision of services are performed based on contracts between manufacturers and customers according to the current legislation of the Parties.
