About introduction of amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "About the epos "Manas"

Article 1.

Bring in the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "About the epos "Manas" (Sheets of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, 2011, No. 6, the Art. 554) the following changes:

Article 1 to add 1) with part 5 of the following content:

"5. Classical versions of the trilogy of the epos "Manas" are versions of the epos "Manas" in legends of manascha of Sagymbaya Orozbakov and Sayakbaya Karalayev.";

To add 2) with Article 1-1 of the following content:

"Article 1-1. The basic concepts and terms applied in this Law

In this Law the following basic concepts and terms are applied:

1) cultural heritage - the material and non-material spiritual culture transferred from generation to generation as the valuable property created by art creativity of the people;

2) intellectual heritage - the oral form of the narration created, developed and transferred from generation to generation by manaschy-storytellers in succession of traditional values;

3) manascha - the storyteller of the trilogy of the epos "Manas" in full and other its parts which in oral poetic form retells their matter within the traditional narration;

4) epic heritage - the heroic narration reflecting the social and historical life of people, expressing the national idea and national ideology, and also values of last generations, stated or written in the form of epic poetry or prose.";

Article 2 to add 3) with the paragraph the fifth the following content:

"-fixing of the status of "manascha" as storyteller of the trilogy of the epos "Manas" in full and other its parts which in oral poetic form retells their matter within the traditional narration;";

Article 4 to state 4) in the following edition:

"Article 4. The state activities in the field of record, preserving, developments, promoting, distribution, protection and control of the trilogy of the epos "Manas"
