This law establishes legal, organizational and economic basis of system of organic production and is directed to forming and ensuring stability of agroecological system.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
1) turnover of organic products - conversion, storage, marking, transportation and realization of organic products;
2) organic production - the activities for production and (or) conversion of organic products or organic raw materials performed with observance of requirements, the established international, interstate, national standards and technical regulations in the field of organic production;
3) organic products - products of plants, including raw materials of wild-growing plants, and also the cattle, bird, bees and fish, made according to requirements of the international, interstate, national standards and technical regulations in the field of organic production;
4) the technical regulation of organic production – the normative technical act establishing the technical requirements, obligatory to observance, connected with safety of organic products to processes of its production, conversion, use, storage, transportation, realization, conversion of its waste, performance of works and rendering services regarding safety;
5) agroecosystem - the system used by business entities in which the balance of production of agricultural products and return of its components for turnover of mineral and organic substances is provided;
6) the standard of organic production - the rule, management and (or) descriptions relating to production of organic products;
7) business entity of the sphere of organic production – the individual entrepreneur and the legal entity performing production and turnover of organic products;
