Approximate Provision of regional associations of municipalities

I. General provisions

1. The regional association of municipalities (further - "Association") is the union created by the municipalities operating on certain part of the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic for the purpose of coordination of their activities and more effective implementation of their rights and interests.

2. The association performs the activities based on the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, international treaties which participant is the Azerbaijan Republic, the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About the status of municipalities", other legal acts and this provision.

3. Activities of Association are based on the principles of voluntariness, equality of members, legality, collective nature in decision making, democratic management and publicity.

4. The association is legal entity.

5. The association has seal with the image of the State Emblem of the Azerbaijan Republic and own name, and also forms of the established sample.
