About introduction of amendments to some Laws of Ukraine concerning enhancement of controling mechanisms and write-off of military property

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to such laws of Ukraine:

1. Article 24 of the Law of Ukraine "About the Security Service of Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1992, No. 27, Art. 382 with the following changes) to add with Item 24 following of content:

"24) to exercise according to the law control military property which is in the field of management of the Security Service of Ukraine".

2. In the Law of Ukraine "About legal regime of property in the Armed Forces of Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1999, No. 48, Art. 407 with the following changes):

Part one of Article 2 to state 1) in the following edition:

"The solution of questions on providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with military property, and also determination of procedure for withdrawal and its transfer to the sphere of management central or local executive bodies, other bodies, authorized to manage state-owned property, to the self-controlled organizations and the organizations and in utility property of territorial communities of villages, settlements, in their common property (with the consent of relevant organs of local self-government with observance of requirements of the Law of Ukraine "About transfer of objects of the right of the state-owned and utility property") is within the competence of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine taking into account that arms and military equipment can be transferred only to military forming which existence is provided by the law, National police of Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and military weapon and ammunition to it to also Public special service of transport";
